Manuel Hernandez
Several years ago, St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond NE, Albuquerque, NM was looking for a piece of art to add to the renovation of our interior courtyard. We found Manuel Hernandez, a mosaic artist, who in collaboration with his fellow artist, Lisa Domenici, designed a tree of life mosaic to be created by the members of the church with their supervision. Recently, we again engaged Manuel and Lisa to create a mosaic for our Montessori School's playground.
So if you come to see the current show hanging in the Sacred Arts gallery, be sure and take a look at those two enormous wall mosaics.
Manuel, also contributed many smaller mosaics to our show. The first day of the show, all three of his original mosaics sold and were taken away before I could take photos! But here are his replacements, also sadly for us, SOLD.
The following piece is a sample piece created to give us a vision of what the finished Cosmos Mosaic would look like. It also will be sold, so if you love it, contact St. Mark's at 505-262-2484 to get details.
If you are interested in Manuel's work, you may contact him at jmhe76@gmail.com
His work will hang with many other talented artists at the Sacred Arts Gallery, St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond NE, Albuquerque, NM
